Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 1, 2026

Murmur ("we", "us", "our") provides virtual co-working sessions for our users ("you"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how you can control it.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information: your email address and basic profile details you provide when signing in.
  • Session information: session times, titles, and participation status (for example, which sessions you create or join).
  • Calendar access (Google Calendar, optional): if you connect Google Calendar, we request the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events scope so we can create, update, and delete events related to your Murmur sessions on your calendar.

2. How we use your information

  • To create and manage Murmur sessions and show them in the product.
  • To send you calendar invites and reminder emails about upcoming sessions (including .ics attachments).
  • If you connect Google Calendar, to create or update events on your calendar that correspond to Murmur sessions you create or join, and to remove them when sessions are cancelled.
  • To monitor reliability, prevent abuse, and improve the product over time.

3. What we don't do

  • We do not sell your personal data.
  • We do not read or modify events on your calendar that were not created by Murmur using our integration.
  • We only access your Google Calendar using the permissions you explicitly grant.

4. Service providers and data storage

We use trusted third-party processors to run Murmur, including Supabase (database and authentication), Resend (email delivery), and Google (calendar APIs). These providers process your data only to help us deliver the service and are bound by their own security and privacy commitments.

5. Your choices and controls

  • You can disconnect Google Calendar at any time from within Murmur. This stops all future calendar sync actions from our side.
  • You can delete Murmur sessions you created; this will also attempt to remove the corresponding calendar events we created.
  • You can request deletion of your Murmur account and associated data by contacting us at support@murmurate.xyz.

6. Contact

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your data, email us at support@murmurate.xyz.
